Tall mountains, snow covered ski trails and skiers looking for individual retreats far away from their daily routine.

Gargellen is situated at the end of the valley, an especially beautiful and snow blessed high valley that borders Switzerland. At 1424 meters above sea level, Gargellen is the highest ski resort in Montafon. For cars the road leading to Gargellen is a dead end. For our guests, it means short distances to the ski lifts and skiing right up to their doorsteps. The end of the valley is marked by the 2770 meter tall and imposing Madrisa, for which our hotel is named after.

The Gargellen ski area at 2000 to 2300 meters above sea level is distinguished by its snow reliability and the sweeping high plateau of Schafberg. Well-groomed ski trails with all levels of difficulty, easily accessible powder snow slopes and countless trail possibilities to ski the long decent into the valley never fail to excite skiers and snowboarders alike. The high capacity lift system assures a comfortable, stress-free ascent with a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. Lasting impressions will be made on the sunny terrace of the mountain top restaurant as well as in one of the cosy, rustic ski huts along the way.

In Gargellen, unique emphasis is given to childcare. In Kinderland and the children’s ski kindergarten, special attention from our qualified personnel is given the whole day to smaller guests.

The Madrisa Hotel has its own ski rentals and offer a large assortment of high quality, perfectly maintained and up-to-date winter sports equipment.
